Q: novice question. Will a schedule 40 PVC pipe fit inside the spigot, or do you need some kind of coupler?

I used the flange for a pvc railings on my pontoon hard top, 11/4 inch schedule 40 pvc fit nice and tight over flange. Hope this helps.

Q: does this come with any gaskets? if not how do i find them?

We do not have any gaskets. I would recommend getting into the manufacturer's literature (online/Google search) to see what the gasket part numbers are. The you might find them on Amazon or other web stores. Thanks, Dan
