Best prebiotic on the market, no contest!
My gut was a total wreck before trying Prebiotin in 2016. Now, I don’t see a gastroenterologist anymore and would never be without this amazing product. Ever…Read their research and blogs on prebiotin.com!

For me, this stuff is a miracle in a jar!
I tried literally everything I could think of to combat my sporadic constipation. I had never had an issue eliminating every day until approximately 9-10 months ago. Around that time, I was prescribed antibiotics for a bacterial infection. I had never taken any probiotics, but when the pharmacist dispensed the antibiotics to me, he mentioned that it might be a good idea to take probiotics while I was taking the course of antibiotics. I took his advice, but despite the probiotics I ingested, the antibiotics did some major damage to my GI flora. Ever since, I have suffered from sporadic constipation.I tried everything. Some things worked better than others, but none seemed to have any lasting effects (the constipation would eventually return). Here's what I tried:1) a large number of varying strains of probiotics 2) kombucha 3) kefir 4) increased amount of magnesium 5) varying amounts of calcium and B vitaminsNeedless to say, I became extremely frustrated with my poor results, which only added to my constipation. Then I researched prebiotics and their huge importance in gastrointestinal health. I knew it wouldn't hurt to try them! This company seemed like a good one, so I gave it a chance. I started out slowly at first: 1/4 tsp once daily and eventually in a couple of weeks, worked my way up to 1.5 tbp daily. While I was increasing the amount of prebiotics, I was still drinking 1 bottle of water kefir, a varying amount of probtiocs (around 1-2 billion CFU), 1 bottle of kambucha, and magnesium supplements. After a few days, I saw some results, but again, they didn't last. Finally, I thought back to "the good old days" when I didn't have an issue with constipation. I NEVER took any probiotics or had any major supplements (other than a good multivitamin and supplemental vitamin D) and I NEVER had a problem! So, in one day, I decided to give up all forms of probiotics, but I continued with my normal multivitamin and vitamin D. I increased the amount of prebiotic to 2 tbp daily. Literally, the morning after, I had a normal elimination. This has continued for three weeks! I have had absolutely NO issues. Needless to say, I will be ordering the Prebiotin until the day I die! This has been an absolute lifesaver.Recalling my struggle, I do believe that once my GI tract was repopulated with beneficial bacteria (after the antibiotics), I was just taking in too many probiotics in various forms. It was just to much for me. Honestly, once my GI flora was repopulated, I should have stopped taking the probitics and let nature take its course. Now, I know better! What worked for ME: once my good flora was replenished, there was no need to add more! Instead, all I needed to do was to feed and support my good gut flora with PREBIOTICS!

I have a confirmed case of guy dysbiosis. I've been messing around with this stuff for years, and finally discovered that not only do I need probiotics, but also prebiotics as well. I'll spare you the details on why, you can look them up on your own.The day I started taking this, I felt fine. No gas, no upset stomach, nothing of the sort. The next morning, about 30 mins after waking up, I was *super* dizzy, and had some pretty bad anxiety like, "Something is wrong with me, what in the world?" It actually got to the point where I was considering yelling to my wife to come check on me while I was in the bathroom; I was heading towards a full on panic attack. I am also about 2 weeks into a ketogenic diet, so I naturally assumed it was the "Keto-flu," and upped all my electrolytes. As the day progressed, it got a bit better, but never fully dissipated. Day 2, same thing. It was actually so bad I felt like I was going to pass out a couple times. I was driving with my son in the car and was having all these thoughts of, "What if I pass out while driving? Should I have him in the car?" Anyhow, I ruled out it wasn't my electrolytes and started thinking it may be this product. I looked up side effects from prebiotics and didn't find very much, however sides for probiotics were somewhat easily found. I also realized that by the mid afternoon things seemed to be getting better, then they'd start up later at night, and be pretty rough in the am. I was taking my Prebiotin with dinner. :) I did not take the Prebiotin last night and I feel MUCH better/back to normal today!!Two things:1. You may wonder why I gave this product 5 stars. It's obviously doing something, hence the side effects. The gut is very sensitive, so I'm going to wait a few days, then start with an extremely small dose and work my way up.2. I read reviews on every product I buy, yet very rarely write them. I wrote this review b/c I couldn't find this side effect listed anywhere online, and frankly became a bit worried something was wrong with me. Hopefully if someone else has these symptoms, they'll find this review and realize they're "A ok," they just need to use a much smaller dose.
