Not at all gritty when I mixed it this way.Drink a full glass of water or more after each dose, it helps the process , don't take more than it says thinking it will help, it won't ,it will do the opposite .It works by absorbing water in the bowel and so increasing the bulk of the stool hleping regulate bowel movement.
