A flick of the wrist is enough to extend the segments firmly enough that they won't collapse while you're eating with them. The business end is a little thin compared to most one-piece chopsticks, but not so thin that it causes difficulty in handling food. Can be completely disassembled for thorough cleaning. The cloth bag they come with is comically large compared to how small the chopsticks are when collapsed.

For reference, I own many pieces of titanium, including non-collapsing chopsticks. I travel very frequently and these are great to have on hand. The length is good, the quality is there, my only gripe is the functionality. You have to twist and pull very firmly in order to get the chopsticks to stay elongated and not have a segment collapse on you. I can’t think of a better way to secure the segments, threads to screw would most likely fail over time and probably drive the price up substantially. All in all, I’m happy with them and appreciate how small they pack up. I do wish for a different case, a simple hard shell case would be preferred, the bag is sloppy and oversized.

Ha! It is almost like holding air, so takes a little time to figure how to work it. Small trade off for travel and eating benefits. EDIT: It’s lightweight design and grippiness makes wooden-chopsticks seem inferior. VERY PLEASED!

Ok so I got these for noodles, rice and maybe other things. They are durable yes, and easy to clean but they are not meant to handle food heavier than the utensils themselves by much as they are very lightweight; and when I tried to use it to eat, after a few minutes they will come loose and be retractable as I even tried being careful to not accidentally poke them tip-end into something. I also tried pulling them out with some strength to hope they set in place but eventually after a few bites they become loose again. If you are using them purely for noodles sure they would be fine maybe, but normal eating not so much. You're better off getting the screw on 2 piece travel ones if you want some chopsticks for more general use.

Compact enough to keep inside my wristlet for meals on the go! It is made of titanium so super lightweight and the texture is not smooth like stainless steel, but not knocking the versatility of these chopsticks. I've spent more for other brand name travel chopsticks but I really like the portability of this concept (plus collapsible)and it comes with a velvet drawstring bag to keep it together! I like them so much I'm buying a second pair!

I do appreciate their shorter length, to be honest. That being said, they're pretty tough despite feeling somewhat flimsy. Some people have said that they seems to retract during use but after lengthy usage, I've determined that they may have been rough with them. With proper technique, you don't need a lot of force.

Disappointing that no matter what I try, they collapse into their shortest length.

The material is really high quality. It collapses small enough I can pack it with my silicon resumable straw. Cleaning is super easy because you can separate the segments. I'll probably buy a second set for my husband soon.

I liked the idea of how it’s connected as one piece rather than breaking it into two parts as with most other ‘foldable’ chopsticks being sold on Amazon however the execution is flawed. The chopstick has three parts which extends and retract. By extending it you can then tighten the parts by simply screwing it. However the last end doesn’t seem to want to screw on tightly. It often gets loose and becomes annoying every time just to readjust it. I suspect the screw thread is just worn out therefore it can never get tight. I’ve only used it once and I can’t seem to get it tight enough. Maybe a defective product? Seems like some other reviews mentioned the same thing. Probably should have stuck with the two piece foldable chopsticks

Die Essstäbchen sind perfekt für unterwegs. Nie wieder schreckliche Holzstäbchen!Zusammen geschoben sind sie nur ~8cm lang und dadurch super kompakt. Zur Reinigung können sie auseinander geschraubt werden. Das beigelegt Transportsäckchen ist leider etwas groß, so dass die Stäbchen darin immer wieder auseinander rutschen. Ein selbst gedrucktes Gehäuse hat diese Probleme aber gelöst.Ich würde diese Essstäbchen immer wieder kaufen!

Sie sind leicht, klein und kompakt. Perfekt für unterwegs um keine Einmalstäbchen etc. Nutzen zu müssen. Leider ist das was ich von Anfang an auch schon befürchtet hatte der ausziehmechanismus ein bisschen schwierig was die Fertigkeit der Verbindung wenn sie ausgezogen sind. Man muss erst lernen mit welcher Kraft man sie auszieht, damit sie nicht versehentlich wieder schnell rein gehen. Ansonsten super.

These little collapsible chopsticks are great. They are lightweight, sturdy, comfortable in the hand especially as mine are small, grip food well & are so compact to carry around. The retractable feature is great. I also like the fact that each part can be separated for cleaning. I gave 4 stars only because of the bag they came in.. would have preferred a little case to protect them better. Nonetheless I would definitely recommend them.

Sehr schöne transportable und ultraleichte Essstäbchen. Ideal für unterwegs und beim Wandern. Sehr einfach in der Handhabung, wobei leider der Halt nicht immer gegeben ist. Die Stäbchen rutschen manchmal einfach in sich zusammen, obwohl sie vorher fixiert wurden. Sonst aber top.
