Works perfectly but you must do all the preparation work specified
Some reviews of this product claim it does not stick, it sticks really well so I can only imagine they have no experience with this type of glue and missed one of the instructions steps. The instructions are pretty clear but both surfaces must be very clean, dry, have no loose bits to start with. You may need to very lightly sand both sides. The side on the glass needs to extremely gently sanded/cleaned because you could easily remove the metal from the glass. Make sure you wait for the preparation wipe to dry (5 minutes) and make sure you have fully kneaded the glue inside the pouch. You need to press the tab onto the glass for a full minute. You cannot perform the gluing if the temperature is too cold or too warm. Follow all of the directions and this is a great product.

It works!
It works despite some comments that it was not working perfectly. All you need to do is follow the instructions. The main issue with others is that they didn't clean with alcohol and WAIT for at least 5 minutes before applying the solution. Also, make sure you knead the solution well.

Not electrically conductive at all
Used this about 10 years ago. It worked great. Tab finally popped off again so I decided to use the same stuff. It's changed. Previously it was an orange paste. Now it's clear with suspended gold specks. Applied exactly as per instructions. Tab adhered fine. Waited 24 hours to let it all dry. Tested circuit with meter. No continuity! At all. No continuity = no circuit. Tested area of old paste. It still had continuity after ten years. Decided to test what remained in the packet. It also had no continuity. See pictures. I could have just used super glue to stick the tab on if I didn't want the defroster to work. You have to use something electrically conductive. This is not. I don't trust permatex anymore.

Took 2 tries
So let me preface this with, if and when you get it to bond, it works. But I had to buy it twice. My rear window is very sloped. I followed the instructions exactly, held it in place for the specified time, and it fell off. Tried again, it continued to fall off. Gave up as if its supposed to cure within a minute or so and hold the part in place, continuing to try and install it isn't going to help, its too late.I bought ANOTHER package of this, but this time I took some blue painters tape and put it on the back of the tab, I installed it and held it in place, and then pressed the tape in place to hold it, and added some additional tape to support it. 24 hours later removed the tape and voila, it worked. Tested the defogger and it functions properly. Took a star off for this, IMO if you can't use it for 24 hours anyway they may as well have the instructions say the user should provide additional support (tape or otherwise) to hold it in place for a strong bond. Also important to note, the instructions on the package and in this listing say to wipe the activator on both the tab and the window. But there is a graphic on this listing that says not to use the activator on the window. I don't know why that contradictory information is there. I used the activator on both and in my second case when using the tape it worked properly.

Did the job! My Rear Defroster works again!
My rear window defroster connector was broken off at the base and I was afraid to bring a hot soldering iron to the glass for fear of cracking the glass due to the heat.I carefully followed the instructions that came with the kit and was able to re-attach the broken electrical connector to the defroster. After waiting the requisite time period, I hooked up the wire and tested it: Lo! Rear defrost works again. My wife is happy that I was able to fix her car - therefore I too am happy.
