Helps with many pet (and human) skin irritations
With the hype around the human skin spray from Tower 28, it didn't take much time for the same kind of product to show up in the world of pet care. This spray from Pet MD is mainly Hypochlorous Acid, which is the same ingredient in the human skin care sprays. None of this really matters though since this pet spray is the real deal. It offers the same amazing skincare benefits that don't seem possible for something with so few ingredients. Our American Bulldog suffered from terrible skin allergies in the spring and fall, and we hated the pills and shots and whatnot our vet wanted to put him on. Along came this spray from Pet MD, and what a blessing it was. Didn't take us long to burn through the bottle, and we ended up ordering Briotech (since it is the same thing at a much better price point).Holy Macaroni, is this Hypochlorous Acid spray ever a miracle worker. We'd spritz it on each paw after he came back in from being outside and wipe dry. No more itchy, red, stinky Frito-smelling dog feet. We'd spray down his undercarriage and blot dry. No more blotchy red spots. No more pyoderma circles. No more dry, flaky itchy skin. We'd spray this on a decent sized gauze pad to gently wipe out his ears. No more hot, red, ear waxy, itchies in his ears. We'd spray on another small gauze pad and wipe around his eyes. No more tear stains or irritated eyes that made it look as if he were crying. This spray cleaned up and got rid of the blackheads on his chin and skin folds around his mouth. For wound care, it's amazing as it doesn't burn and doesn't destroy new skin growth. So where has this Hypochlorous Acid spray been hidden away all these years? We use on a couple of our cats too, and it's been just as amazing. If you have skin issues, try a small bottle of the BrioTech or other 'human' branded version like Tower 28 (which is way overpriced). Just make sure it's a legitimate product from a legitimate company and not one of the dozens and dozens of cheap, questionable safety knock-offs someone tries to sell for $3 a gallon. When spraying this on our dog's feet and tummy, I'd inevitably get overspray on my hands. Guess what - the knuckles on my left hand had plaque psoriasis I've been fighting for decades. After a couple of weeks of using this on the dog, I realized my left hand was completely clear and smooth. I thought no way this spray was the reason, so I started putting on gloves before treating our dog. Within a month, the plaque psoriasis was back in the same spots. Started treating my hand, and once again the spots went poof. Sorry for the ramble, but this Hypochlorous Acid spray is a bona fide don't-let-it-run-out! product in our home now.

Seems to Help
My senior dog was excessively licking a spot on her belly that was looking red and irritated. When I used this spray on the area, she did not respond as though it stung or hurt. And it did look as though she messed with it less. Still, I did ultimately go to the vet, where they gave me prescription wipes for her.The small bottle was easy to get into position and likely looked less ominous to her. The pump spray made it easy and quick to apply. The aroma was a bit bleachy. I am super glad this can be used on a wide variety of animals.

Quick (and affordable) hotspot relief
This spray has been a lifesaver for my dogs skin issues. My terrier had raw, inflamed hotspots, and after applying this once, I noticed a significant reduction in redness and irritation within 24 hours. It seems to provide her immediate relief, as she stopped scratching and relaxed immediately. The best part is there’s no strong scent or harsh chemicals. The spray is easy to apply and dries quickly. My dog, who usually runs away when I try to do anything like brush her teeth, give medication, or even just brush her, sees me pick up this bottle and comes right to me and sit at my feet until I spray it on her hotspot l, so I know this doesn’t hurt or sting her in any way and truly makes her feel better. This spray is drastically more affordable than other similar products for treating hotspots and is way more affordable than a vet visit or prescriptions. I highly recommend to all pet owners as you never know when you’ll need it and it’s a great thing to have on hand if you have pets in your home.

Effective Wound Cleansing Spray for Pets, Must Have for Treating Wounds or Hotpots
I've been using this on my kitten's hotspots, which started looking raw, red, and inflamed. Worried about a possible infection, I decided to give this a try. I've been applying it at least twice a day for the past couple of weeks and have noticed a significant reduction in redness and inflammation. It also seems to provide immediate soothing relief—when I can keep him from licking it off before it dries! This spray has almost no scent, no added fragrances that could irritate a pet’s sensitive skin or nose, and it dries fairly quickly. Consistency is key—you need to apply it daily for the best healing effect. Overall, I'm very happy to have this in my pet’s first aid kit and would highly recommend it to anyone with pets dealing with hotspots, scrapes, or minor wounds.

Very Faint Scent (Similar To Rubbing Alcohol) ~ The Pup Didn't Flinch When I Sprayed His Itchy Areas
Hypochlorous acid (the main active ingredients) topical is not known to have any side effects. Products containing hypochlorous acid are generally non-toxic and safe if ingested or licked. Our son's pup has skin sensitivities - primarily itching. Throughout time, he has managed to scratch and lick of his fur under his front arms (arm pits). His vet recommended their carried product that was pretty pricey and I found this on Amazon which had the same ingredients at a much lower price.Spraying this area, didn't hurt Goose, and he was patient while I applied this. It has a very faint - similar to rubbing alcohol.I googled and read: It may be used to prevent or treat bacterial skin infections, including methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA). Hypochlorous acid also has antifungal and antiviral properties and is reported to reduce inflammation, pain, and itching. Hypochlorous Acid (HOCl) is a natural substance produced by white blood cells as a defense against infection. The sprayer works well (unwrapping the hard plastic covering was challenging :) )I am appreciative to have it on hand to help relieve his itching and to know this is a good (healthy) solution for him.
