Excellent, lightweight upgrade to kindle!
I have the earliest kindle fire, and it still works, but it’s losing its ability to hold a charge. I haven’t even considered replacing it, because I only use it when traveling, but I broke my arm two weeks ago, and find that the kindle is much easier to manage than the stack of hardcover books on my desk (I have arthritis in my wrists, anyway).I use a triangular pillow to hold books or my kindle, because both are too heavy for long reads. So, I landed on the basic kindle because I am most concerned with weight. I didn’t buy the cover, either, because weight. This little effer is lighter than my iPhone 16 pro! It’s really easy to read in daylight or at night, and I can hold it in my good hand without fatigue. Daytime glare is virtually nonexistent. I bought a little silicone handle for the back of it, but a pop-socket would work.I love it. Its compact size fits in my smallest, flattest crossbody, and it adds no weight. I feel like I can read anywhere again. I am hopeful that it is the thing I needed to get back to reading more.

Very into this device!
I bought my new Kindle two days ago after deciding I needed to consolidate my book collection into a device that would be more comfortable to read after my husband goes to sleep (I love the dark mode!!). It was delivered same day which was super convenient. I immediately took advantage of the Unlimited free trial and blew through a 400 page book in 2 days-- partially attribution to the ease of using this the Kindle. The Kindle is super light and really small, so I was really surprised when the font was super easy to read. It was so comfortable to hold in bed while I laid on my side too, as I do most of my reading before bed. The color is super cute as well-- the only drawback is that I couldn't afford a higher end version that I Imagine would be in color and a bit most seamless in scrolling. Sometimes it takes a minute to load the settings and other pages, but when I'm actually reading a book, it swipes through pages super quickly.

Amazing product!
I love paper books but it sure is hard to beat being able to carry a library in your pocket! The battery life is incredible, much better than my previous Kindle, which could be due to the fact that it's 6 years old. Amazing product, I've used the kindle for years and decided to upgrade to the 11th gen version. Easy to navigate and has a huge selection of books. I can't say enough good things about this product, I absolutely love it. The only con is that it's unresponsive at times and requires a reboot every now and then but that's no big deal. It is very lightweight and comfortable to hold, much lighter than a lot of paper books I've read. I highly recommend the Amazon Kindle and will be purchasing them for as long as they are available to buy.

Love it
So this is the 2nd kindle that I have purchased. The other one pictured is the 11th gen 6.8” paperwhite.Overall I absolutely LOVE the size of this one. It is so comfortable to hold and fits in my hands way easier than the paperwhite and will be the one I take with me when traveling. The readability is great during the day, however I don’t find myself picking this one up at night as it does not have the warm light feature and strains my eyes a bit in the dark. That’s really the only thing I don’t like about it.The matcha color is absolutely gorgeous and the overall quality is great. It does seem to run pretty quick as well, compared to my older one.

Completely honest review for my Kindle
I almost never write reviews, but I wanted to share my honest Kindle experience.I am a lover of printed books and an avid library user. But in more recent years, I’ve noticed that I’ve become so overwhelmed with reading, and my TBR list just keeps getting longer. I was skeptical about getting an e-reader (mostly because I’m stubborn) at first, but I’m so happy I got one. I honestly couldn’t stand trying to use my iPad as an e-reader. It just felt off, I can’t really explain it. It didn’t help me get out of my reading slump either. I just wanted something simple and small to read books on, and so I didn’t feel so anxious about returning physical books to the library all the time. So, I started to research. At first, I was dead set on getting a Kindle Paperwhite because it’s bigger and it’s splash proof. But then I started reading reviews, and people said they preferred the regular Kindle. After much deliberation, I decided to purchase the regular Kindle (without the ads!!). I am SOOOO glad I did. I’m a Kindle newbie, so it did take some getting used to, but I honestly love it. I’ve only had it a day, but already I’m reading more than I’m scrolling or watching my rerun shows on Netflix. I will say, when I pulled out the Kindle box, I was surprised at how small it was. But now that I’ve been using it, I don’t even think about it. It’s the perfect size, easy to hold, and I can take it anywhere. I also love the beveled screen. I swear it makes it easier to read and I don’t get eye strain like when I used my iPad.The only reason I’m giving this Kindle 4/5 stars is because it does not support CloudLibrary (yet). I hope that support will be in a future update. My bottom line: if you’re on the fence about buying an e-reader, do yourself a favor and buy a Kindle. And buy it without the ads, because I’ve read other reviews of people trying to remove ads later, and it doesn’t always work. Just save yourself the headache - it’s the same price either way.

Amazing device
Very impressed.10 years ago I had the very first kindle touch, I still remember the days when you had to use buttons to navigate the old kindles. The device has come so far. It’s lighter than my phone, which makes holding it much superior to reading a book as you don’t fatigue. It’s very fast, as compared to the old screens it refreshes in about half a second. The screen light being a default feature now is a breath of fresh air. Remembering many nights running through double A batteries up past my bedtime. Very happy with it.
