But for sure, each piece has the great old red cedar smell.The kits has ten flat pieces of cedar that are pre-drilled to make putting in the included hangers a cinch. It took me about 20 seconds to do each one. You also have two sachets that are prefilled with I cedar shavings. The bags can be tossed in drawers or left on shelves. I toss mine into a drawer in two different rooms. When these shavings lose their scent, you could just buy cedar shavings at the pet store that would be used for pet bedding. The bags have a draw string closure, so they are easy to open and refill.I'm not done. The kit also includes about 30 small blocks of cedar and four gauze bags. You could put a few cedar blocks in each bag and either hang them up or toss them in a drawer or on a shelf. They have a draw string that's more like a thin ribbon. It feels like it could tear if you're not careful, but the cedar blocks won't be affected. You could also just place the cedar blocks around.And finally, to fill out the kit - they include a couple of small pieces of sandpaper to use to to bring back the cedar scent once it starts to wear off.I haven't had the kit long enough to know how effective it will be against moths, but as mentioned...cedar is a natural product that is known to do that. And no matter what, the cedar scent just smells good in a drawer or hanging in a closet.I see no reason why the bags shouldn't last for years. Certainly the cedar planks and blocks will last for years. And the you have the sandpaper to help renew them.Good product and it's your toolkit for combatting moths.
