Great wheel and pedals for the money, Just Works in ETS2 on Linux
I wanted a wheel and pedals for various racing games but primarily for Euro Truck Simulator 2 (ETS2) which I've been playing a lot of lately, but didn't want to spend out too much (so the Logitech G27 etc was out of the question). I picked this one because I have a Speedlink Black Widow joystick which I'm very happy with, so I decided to try a Speedlink wheel too.I'm happy with it - the wheel is nice to hold with the orange rubberised side grips providing plenty of grip, and the return spring is just right. Steering action is smooth and precise, as are the pedals (although their base could do with being a little heavier, and/or the fold-out panel for your feet to rest on which holds it in place being longer - I have size 12 feet, and to have my heel on that baseplate requires my foot to be bent back too far to be comfortable when not pressing the pedal. Those with smaller feet might not find this, though!)Plenty of buttons - d-pad which I use for looking around the cockpit, ABXY buttons on the right, LB/LT and RB/RT buttons where your thumbs fall, L and R buttons on the rear of the wheel, paddles, and a gear shifter. However, it's not quite as many as it may first seem - some are doubled up, for instance the left and right paddles are the same as LT and RT, and the gear lever up/down is the same as X and Y.I was a bit worried if the suction cups would be enough - I ideally wanted clamps. However, having played for several hours, I've found the suction cups hold it to my desk quite effectively - although I sometimes use a pair of mini F-clamps to clamp it down more securely. I've also managed to play with it on my lap reasonably easily.Setup was a breeze - I've been playing ETS2 on Linux, and I just plugged it in, configured it in the game settings and was away - no need to install drivers or anything like that.If you want a top-of-the-range steering wheel with force feedback etc look elsewhere, e.g. a Logitech G27, but if you just want a decent enough quality effective wheel and pedals at a sensible price, I'd certainly recommend this.[...]. If you have any suggestions for things I've missed out, please do feel free to leave a comment so I can improve the review.

Good starting wheel
Good product for the price, good starting steering wheel for simulation games such as American Truck or Euro Truck simulator 2, although it doesn’t turn 360 degrees so that can be slightly irritating. This wheel will be fine for part time players or children but for someone who is serious about Simulation or wants realism I would suggest something such as the Logitic steering whee range.

Excellent wheel for the price
I did not realise that there are two (at least) different standards for the racing wheel interface. The initial Speedlink wheel I bought would not run with the Dirt3 game, and so had to be returned.I am very happy to report that this wheel allows you to switch the interface mode, and so should run with the majority of games.Well built wheel with seven suction pads to hold it down on a flat surface - not really enough for very vigorous play. Additional clamping may be necessary. The pedals are again nicely engineered, and the platform holds on to the carpet pretty well.Overall I rate this a good buy.

Great starting wheel!
In terms of value for money, this product is excellent. Before purchasing this wheel, I knew it wasn't going to be anything like the more expensive ones - and this is shown once you receive the product, most notably, by the 180-degree turning capacity of the wheel. Just make sure you read through all of the information provided on the product page before purchasing this item so you know exactly what you are getting yourself into with this wheel. This wheel does include a pedal set, consisting of two pedals. Along with that, you also receive the actual steering wheel which comes with a 180-degree turning capacity. There is also a mini gear shifter included, which is attached to the wheel unit itself and can be located just behind the wheel itself. Some of the buttons do overlap with each other, which can be found to be a little annoying at times. For example, the two side panels are mapped to the same button as two buttons located on the front of the wheel at the top.Being a less expensive racing wheel, this wheel attaches to your desk through suction cups, instead of a clamp. Having used this wheel now for many months, I have rarely ran into issues with the suction of this device. I find that it slips ever so slightly every now and then when completing a turn, but it's nothing too major and doesn't happen an awful lot.The rubber on the sides of the wheel also has not given me any problems and is still in-tact to this day.

Misleading Description
Was looking for a decent wheel for a reasonable price, so bought this.PROS+ It looks good from a distance, so you can enjoy looking at it when it doesn't do what it's supposed to.CONS- Biggest problem by far, the pedals, shifters and RT/LT buttons all do the same thing, so it's impossible to set up to use as an actual wheel. I've contacted Speedlink's technical support to ask if I was doing it wrong, but no, it is not possible to assign different controls for the pedals and shifters. So while it has both pedals and shift paddles, you can't use them at the same time.- It feels cheap in your hands, and is very plasticky. The shifters are also very clicky, which I imagine will become irritating after long periods of use.- You have to stretch your hand to reach the buttons, the ABXY buttons are too low, and the LT/LB/RT/RB buttons too high.- The suction pads at the back of the wheel are constantly coming unstuck, so the whole thing starts sliding around the desk.- The instructions are virtually non-existent, and the online manual on Speedlink's website only shows pictures of the 2 pieces of uninformative paper that come with it.
