Popular Furniture of the 1920's and 1930's

I've had a Elgin A. Simonds Bookstand for years and have been trying to find out more about it, even going as far as writing the New York Historical society for information on the company, as well as many web searches. Low and behold, there's a picture of my exact bookstand on page 141! Fabulous resource for anyone looking into the furniture of the Elgin A. Simonds Company.

Again,another reference book with lots of pictures. In this case photo copies of a trade catalogs . Very little info on dates of production, or history of the sole company the whole book covers. Unrealistic price guide. I've been told that certain publishers require price guides for their books. Price guides are to reflect sales history not made up values. . Save your money.

Just what it was hoped it would be. Both enjoyable to look through and helpful for research and planning, as well.
