I love this journal so much! Perfect size. I love that it comes with 3 different note books. I decorated the covers of each one for the fun of it. The pen it comes with feels a little cheesy so I switched it out but overall it’s a wonderful journal.

I would like to highly recommend this product to anyone needing a small, daily carry, leather journal about the size of a passport. I know it can be difficult on Amazon/internet retailers to find genuine, real leather products because any manufacture can grind up tiny bits of leftover leather, mix it in with glue paste, and sell it as "genuine leather." Let me assure you if you're considering buying this journal, you'll get exactly what you see in the product description--it is composed of a strip of leather cut from a hide and sewn together with another strip of leather. Its simple design is beautiful and I personally took a couple of the three inserts it comes with out to reduce the profile to fit in my pocket for every day documentation of Christ's faithfulness to me throughout the day. The compass charm is a particularly charming way of marking your place. The rest of the charms mesh with the journal well, and number of these is completely preference based. The pen itself is very classy looking and I would like to say I use it, however I am a bit of a stickler when it comes to pens and use a 0.28 mm signo gel pen to write with and this only comes with a somewhat standard blue large caliber ball point pen that I don't prefer to use, however the pen casing is very good for the money and I have not spent the time to search for a replacement cartridge that would fit what I want but doubt one would exist. I will say, the leather is in very good shape, but does need some leather treatment initially for hydration if you plan on keeping this a long time. Regardless, this is an excellently priced quality item and I hope this review is informative to you all.

Actually a pretty nice little leather journal for $20. As is it’s a little too thick and I’ll likely remove something at some point. I bought it hoping it would fit into the zippered top opening of my cargo pockets on my Elbeco cargo work pant. It does but it’s a struggle. Still a great little journal. The pen is ok but that’ll be replaced by something else. I don’t know if I’m a big fan of the way the leather band just kind of wraps around the thing but that seems to be how most journals do it. Not very secure IMO.

Got this for hubby as a gift--he loves it. Very well made, pen ink is lasting really well, and it's a good size--not too big or too small.

The leather did not come weathered in at all, but that's my only complaint and it's cosmetic, plus something that will happen in time

The thickness and quality of the leather will give this Travelers Notebook decades of use, if not more. The tassels and the book mark are high quality and made for everyday use. This merchant is one of the few that have refills available to fit the products they sell. Everything is high quality along with great service and a great price point. Love the products very much.

I wanted a journal for hiking. This has a pocket that I can keep my money and ID in. A few different type of page books that I can leave at home to minimize weight/bulk. It is nice looking and the pen works well. When I hike, I just take one of the paper books. But when I travel I take it all and it is still very compact

I have been enjoying this notebook for the past several days. Immediately put it to use upon receipt. It's more beautiful in person than captured in photo. This is a great deal! Not only for affordable price, but because it comes with so many accessories. The pen is pretty and write ok. Everything is durable. The only parts i didn't like that much, and it's mainly preference, are the bulky charms on the insert bands. But I moved them to the very bottom so they are less distracting and that helped a lot. I'm also finding the wrap around cord a little inconvenient when I'm in a hurry. But when I'm not in a rush, I live how it looks and stays in place for a secure closure of the notebook. Would definitely consider giving as gift. Very happy with this purchase.

Like: Closure strap, leather feel and unique functionality.Don't like: The elastic band to hold the third paper swatch together caught me out and it took a moment to work out how it worked.If you want a 'Grail diary' or travel notebook then this is a great option. Even the pen included is good quality.The leather is thick and feels good quality. The stitching is faultless and even the elastic (probably the weak point) seems robust. I'm sure the elastic can be repaired or retro-fitted in the future.The manufacturer's pictures look a lot better than mine and are a fair representation of the product. Mine are just to show you in the real world.The plastic card colder at the front is ideal for a couple of credit cards or business cards. The ziplock at the back won't hold a passport but is very adaptable.I've tried to illustrate how the paper swatches fit in with the elastics, I hope that helps. If not, perhaps the manufacturer could correct me.For myself, I've removed the third swatch of paper and use the loose elastic to bind my passport in there. Comes in a really nicely presented box which when opens has a divine waft of leather assault your nostrils.The leather is very tactile to touch and easily markable, which i like and think will add a personal character to the journal over time.The pen matches the journal nicely, is of good quality and I love that I can store it just inside in the pen holder (which is quite tight) so if you have to grab your journal to take a note or sketch, there's no hunting around for a pen to go with the paper!It's a very handy size that fits in a handbag, probably about A6 size (half the size of A5) which is perfect for me to put in my (hand)bag when going out.Personally I wasn't enamoured by the plastic card inserts and took them out quite easily. Maybe I'll make use of them later say for storing stamps but it wasn't my intention to use them when purchasing this journal.Would I recommend - Yes, Also with Christmas fast approaching this could make anyone a great present.Now I'm off to see if there's different colours!

Took a while trying to decide on a new TN. Finally settled on this one, and I really love it. I love the feel of the leather (soft but firm enough to hold its shape), I love the wrap around design and slightly unusual shape, and the wrap around strap. And it comes with everything you need - 3 notebooks (lined, plain, and craft paper) already tethered together with lovely beaded elastics, card wallet, zipped wallet, pen and lovely little compass bookmark. Great value. Would make a super gift too. This is my preferred size as it’s easy to stow in my bag. I usually use the pocket moleskin cahiers... if you want to use them they do fit, but you’ll have a little sticking out top and bottom. If you don’t like that, then the seller also sell replacement inserts.

This arrived in a plain looking brown box, well packaged inside in a thin poly bag.Once it was opened the smell was awesome, leather, and not that tangy type where its been soaked in turpentine like some leather facsimiles or 'genuine leather' items you find. This feels amazing, seriously like, had it only 30 mins and the entire office has had a fondle of it, I cannot even put it down.Does mark easily, but you know, its kind of why I got it, I want it to protect the memories of my upcoming vacation, and I expect, and want, to see it tell a tale of its own from its travels. So I look forward to journalling my vacation in this, and in the beyond that follows, I can see myself turning this into my disconnected organiser, or remain a memory retainer, and get a second for more day use items. :D
