What are the benefits of a braided ended leather leash? There are different types of leather leashes, (braided, sewn and rivet ends). The connecting ends will get a tremendous amount of stress from a large dog pulling over time. For a sewn end leather leash, the stitches can become weak over a period of time and could begin to unravel or break. For a riveted leather leash, the rivets could either rust, break or ripe through the hole punched into the leather. Braided end leashes do not have a single stitch and are double braided to securely hold the leash handle loop in place and securely connect to the end of the snap latch. In addition to end connection durability, a braided end leash provides for greater flexibility.
