Helly HansenMen's Reine Parka

The jacket looks great and is very warm, its fairly light weight for a winter jacket. I like that you can wear a hat under the hood ( great for days watching the kids play football in the pouring rain and cold). Can't fault it really had for nearly 2 months and it's been through rain and snow and was about -8 at its coldest in the UK. It is warm and dry. Size was large which is what I am normally . Wasn't cheap but you get what you pay for with this jacket.

I'm a normal UK Large so I was disappointed that the Large was an XL fit on me. I sent back for a UK Medium and that was a perfect fit.I only need a t-shirt underneath, even in the worst December night, as it's great at keeping heat in and rain out. It is by far the warmest coat I’ve owned. It dries very quickly too. Overall it offers superb winter weather protection.I paid £188 during Black Friday and think that's about the right price. I've noticed today it's £166, so I’ve bought another colour, but it's also been priced at £202 in the last week so just wait until it's on offer which seems often.[one year update]Still none of the issues that a few reviewers have had like not being waterproof or fraying. It’s still in superb condition and I think it’s a much better coat, softer etc, than it was when new.After I received my second coat I am now convinced that this is an oversized parka and for a regular fit you should order one size down.

I have tested for a week in sweden in january and it makes the job. It has kept me warm. Comfortable and convenient. (The size is almost right for me. The hood is convenient when it is snowing and windy.)Nice parka. Recommanded.

The pockets could have been better thought out. I got the impression that they were added as an afterthough rather than designed for specific purposes. Still, i am quite happy with it overall.
