Another re-hash of Keto with added fruit
I was hoping for a miracle & bone broth sounded like something that might help me fast without serious hunger.This book was not much help.I’ll list the pros & cons:Pro:This is an attractive book. I’d prefer a soft cover over the heavy hard cover tho.There are some color photos - but located in 2 “photo sections” rather than near the actual recipe.I’m a very visual person & find myself flipping pages trying to find the pic of the recipe I’m looking at.There is a weekly meal plan section which lists the meal suggestions for each day of the 21 day diet. & page #’s are listed for the corresponding recipes. Cons:1: I’ve been Keto for years. This meal plan removes all dairy & inserts fruit. Mostly berries. Daily. Just a handful but there are also dessert recipes containing fruits that rigger my sugar cravings.2: There are 17 recipes that contain pork or shellfish as main ingredients. If you eat Kosher, this is not a great book for you. Many of the recipes in this book are for condiments & sauces. Also desserts. With 17 main dish recipes that I don’t eat for religious reasons, the book is limited.3: Making home made bone broth turns out to be really costly! Who knew? I always figured butchers tossed the bones out so they’d be relatively inexpensive. Wrong! I found inexpensive tiny narrow bones at Walmart but had to go to the regular supermarket for beef short ribs. That batch was the least expensive at $8 + $16 = $24. The batch lasted 1.5 days on the diet.Next batch: bones from King Super & Safeway: $32Lasted 2 days on the diet.Batch 3: all from a meat processing outlet 25 minutes away. Very $$: $38 lasting 3.5 days on diet.I found that the more expensive bones didn’t necessarily make better collagen broth - but the meat processing outlet made the most jello like broth.4: This broth was best at 24hrs in my cuisinart slow cooker - which actually DOES have a low setting. I tried one batch at 16 hrs & it did not appear that the collagen had been released. So, 24 hrs is a Loooong time to have a slow cooker in the middle of the counter. Page 51 of the book tells you how long to cook your bone broth in a stove top pressure cooker. I realize that this book was published in 2016, but I’m pretty sure I had my instant pot by then. And since Dr KellyAnn is still hawking this book - it would be nice if it was updated for modern pressure cooking.5: And this is big... I didn’t lose an ounce on this diet. Granted, I’m not massively overweight, probably need to lose 15-20 lbs. and I’ve been Keto for years. But I figured that a bone broth fast might be the answer. For me, it did nothing but lighten my wallet. This diet cost me more than anything else I’ve tried over the years.

Yes, The Bone Broth Diet Works
I saw an article in a national magazine about Dr. Kellyann's Bone Broth Diet and felt like I wanted to try it, who wouldn't want to lose 15 lbs/4" in 21 days? I followed the magazine short version for a week and lost a few pounds, I also liked the diet and how it fit into the way I like to eat and decided to purchase the book to get the full details of the diet. The book does go into great detail about the diet, gives lists of foods to avoid and foods to eat, and some recipes as well. Note that there is a recommended morning and even fast each day. After being on the diet for a week I found I wanted more recipes and bought her recipes book, which also goes into detail about the diet. The recipes are easy to prepare and are delicious! Both books are good and I'm glad I have both, but I feel like if you can only purchase one …. purchase the cookbook since it also details the diet. One caveat--there are recipes to make your own bone broth and it is probably cheaper to do so, but I do not make my own, I buy it at local discount grocer.

Her bone broth diet is awesome. My husband and I decided to give it a try. He was using insulin shots and high blood pressure medicine and had to use a sleeping machine for his snoring every night. He lost 20 pounds in 3 weeks and after having tests done at the doctor, he no longer has to use any of the above. I don't have to use Invokana for my diabetes anymore or take any blood pressure medicine. I only lost 15 pounds in 3 weeks, but I cheat on the diet. We found that it really helps with the tummy fat and our wrinkles seem to be going away. Our bones aren't as achey as they use to be either. I am 67 years old and my husband is 65 years old. It has made us more aware of what we eat now. The diet is really easy to do, you just have to eat nature foods and do away with sugar. (Believe me...that's been really hard for me, but I can see the results in our over all health.) Our family doctor even ordered her books because she is so impressed with how it has helped us. It has a meat diet plan, a poultry diet plan and even a vegetarian diet plan. I can't say enough great things about the Dr. Kellyann's diet plan and her cookbook.

I did the 21day Bone Broth Diet. This book is great for finding quick and simple recipes!

It works.
I would drink a cup of the Chicken Broth each evening. I am not real fond of the taste but it’s not so bad that I would stop drinking it. It’s not a full cup so that makes it easier to swallow. I did lose weight so it works.

Great Diet Plan!
I'm over 80 and have tried everything to lose weight I gained from three huge spine surgeries and a hip replacement. Absolutely NOTHING worked until Dr. KellyAnn's Bone Broth/Intermittent Fasting/Keto Diet--and it is working just fine. The weight is not coming off overnight; but the weight loss is steady and I am getting more healthy by the day. Her Bone Broth is greatly helping not just my weight loss; but my hair, nails and joints as well. Highly Recommend it!

This cookbook and using bone broth will greatly help in weight loss.
I have used this cookbook to loose 30 pounds. This is the first time in my life that I have been able to loose weight without struggling. The weight has just dropped off and without doing much exercise. I have stopped processed foods and soda's and tried to drink more water and eat 3 small meals a day. Also have almost eliminated sugar from my diet. But the key is drinking the bone broth and using the diet plan in this book. I would highly recommend to others.

Amazingly Rapid Weight Loss
Although initially a bit squeamish about the Bone Broth Diet and doubtful that we could find a butcher - I've got over my squeamishness because the broth is so nutritionally satisfying that it satisfies you and you don't need to eat anything else (I've been having it for my evening meal). I've lost about 2.5kg and I had a break of a week (sticking to no wheat/sugar and small portions) and I'm about to start another 21 day bone broth episode. We did find a good butcher near an abattoir and we can get a portion of bones including a trotter for £3. Ribs take it up a couple of pounds but that is still good as a main meal for two people. BTW ladies you loose weight from the places you want to loose weight from - i.e: my bust size has remained the same.

Bought this book as a coworker was doing this diet and I love it. It's a great book with lots of recipes and it's a sustainable and healthy diet.
