Lonely Planet Italy 15 (Travel Guide)

If I hadn’t used this book, I wouldn’t have known to get an International Drivers Permit, which meant the very best part of my trip to Italy would not have happened. I used it to pick my B&Bs and to navigate the Metro in Rome. Needs a little updating for post-Covid conditions in Palermo (which is a wonderful city I highly recommend).

Great resource for choosing sites to visit during Italy trip. Also includes really helpful information on using bus/train/ferries/metro. Please note hours of operation of sites are out of date, probably because of changes during COVID.

Too heavy

I got this for my dad he loves going traveling and he takes a lonely planet book with him all the time he has post-it notes sticking out of it looking this up before he goes away really good books and handy to have

Relied on this everyday on my trip to italy. mostly visited the north and found the coverage very good with some fantastic recommendations. you cannot go wrong with this guidebook!

Lovely Planet is the best! This was completely up to date on covid rules, opening hours, costs of things - a superb guide. And really well chosen restaurants at reasonable prices.
