The spoon is average size and decent quality. The engraving is good and clear. My husband thought it was good. If I could change anything, I would have a little longer spoon with a broader tip at the end of the handle.

This is a teaspoon sized item...The engraving "Papa's ice cream shovel" sounds like it would be a tablespoon sized item or larger. VERY disappointed - this is not something I would think of as a "shovel" or a "scoop" (as another engraving offered states). Take time to read the Q&A...I did not until after I received the item and was reading the reviews.

Loved this as a gift for my Papa who eats about a pint of ice cream a night. Keep in mind that this is a normal size tablespoon. My only wish is that it had been a larger spoon.

Writing is not very visible. I think that since this spoon is made for a man, it should be made larger or even longer for man hands.I also wish the writing was straight. I may not even give it to my husband.

Bought this for dad as a gift...it’s a regular spoon size, so don’t expect much...it’s a spoon with some engraving...it’s nice, but there is no WOW factor...it’s just ehhhh...there are many other gifts at that price that would make a better gift...

I bought this as a gift for my kids to give my Dad (their Papa). He loves eating ice cream, especially with my boys, so I thought this would be the perfect gift for him. I was slightly unsatisfied when it arrived. It says it is 7 inches in the description but it was under 6 and a half inches in actuality. Looking at it further today I see it has a different size written in another area, so two different sizes for the same item. I was unsure of spending $22 Canadian for it to start with and being under sized makes it worse. It has a scratch on the spoon beside the writing as well. It is a great gift idea but I feel it is overpriced. Maybe they could sell a tablespoon size for the same price, then when it says ice cream "Shovel" it will be bigger and make more sense...
