Excellent results
I very pleased with the effectiveness of this probiotic. I was diagnosed with Lyme Disease and prescribed Doxycycline and knew I had to take a good probiotic to keep my healthy bacteria strong. I chose this particular one because of the level of CFU's, as I'm extremely sensitive to antibiotics and was concerned about the effects on my body from the Doxy. I received it within 2 days of ordering it, but had to start the medicine before it arrived. Without the supplement I had extreme nausea and digestive discomfort. Within the first days of taking the Gaia I felt a marked improvement. I take one capsule twice a day about an hour after taking the antibiotic, and the nausea disappeared. The gastro problems also went away. Ive also avoided developing a yeast infection, which I usually get every time I take antibiotics. I will definitely continue to take this after I done taking antibiotics as I tend to have a very sensitive gut and for the first time in years I have some relief.

I am a Health and Fitness Specialist and emphasize the important strains you need to maintain your health. So many people just buy over the counter probiotics without reading what's in them! Here's a copy of what I send to all of my clients who I require take THIS probiotic. It is the strain and WHAT THE HECK IT DOES:Lactobacillus acidophilus — relieves gas, bloating, improves lactose intolerance. Shown to help with a 61 percent reduction in E. coli, lower cholesterol levels and creation of vitamin K. Also, important in GALT immune strength.Lactobacillus rhamnosus — supports bacterial balance and supports healthy skin, helps fight urinary tract infections, respiratory infections, and reduce anxiety by reducing stress hormones and GABA neurotransmitter receptors. Also, survives GI tract.Bifidobacterium longum — supports liver function, reduces inflammation, removes lead and heavy metals.Bifidobacterium breve — helps colonize healthy gut community and crowd out bad bacteria.Lactobacillus casei — supports immunity, inhibits h. pylori and helps fight infections.Bacillus coagulans — an endospore probiotic that’s heat-resistant and improves nutrient absorption. Great product, replaced my need for omeprasole
Seems to be some pretty potent stuff. I started taking this when taking some medium-grade antibiotics and it brought my gut back to normal and kept it there. During that time I was taking the full dose - 2 a day - but after I was done with the antibiotics I cut it down to 1 a day. At one a day they are quite effective, making this a great price for a 60 day dose. Prior to taking these, I used to take one omeprasole a day to keep my stomach in check. If I went for 3 or more days without taking omeprasole, I would get severe heartburn and indigestion after every meal. I have been taking these for over 30 days now and have completely stopped taking omeprasole with no issues, which is fantastic because I don't like idea of taking long term medication when I'm only in my 20's.

satisfied!
I have been using this for about 2 weeks now. I take one before I go to work and one a little after I return, usually somewhere between 6-6:30 PM. The week before I started taking these, I had began eating salads for lunch so I think my diet and my digestion had improved already because of that. My digestion and bathroom "habits" were not regular before I started taking these. If I think back, sometimes I would not "go" for a 4-5 days at a time. I remember even not going for a week or two once. It wasn't out of the ordinary for me. I wouldn't be in pain or any particular discomfort... I wouldn't be extra bloated or anything... that was just how I was. I did envy those who went regularly. I always imagined it must feel so much better, lighter and cleaner to go more often and regularly. So, anyway, back on track, when I first started taking these, I was eating salads for lunch and I was going to the bathroom every day, and more than once a day from what I remember, and I felt really healthy and I had no doubt it was due to this supplement but I also wondered if it was because of the salads. Now, I am off the salads and eating regular foods-- rice, chicken, soup, cookies, chocolate, pasta, coffee, etc. I still go regularly.. I would say pretty much every day, though not multiple times a day. I think that's just because I'm not a very active person (I sit in the office all day) and it takes much longer for my body to digest what I'm eating now compared to the leafy greens I was eating before. I feel lighter, cleaner and better inside afterwards. I did experience a lot of bloating the past day or two but I think it's because I just reintroduced coffee back into my diet after a long break and I also had a bowl of cereal with milk and I have my suspicions I might be becoming a little lactose intolerant perhaps. I'm not sure... I will try to update after I finish the entire bottle or if I notice any other changes.
