RC Pet Products Packable Dog Rain Poncho

I purchased this this XXLARGE raincoat for my 60 lb, 22" neck to tail, 33 girth chocolate lab. She wears the raincoat over a Model: H6###1073 Nylon dog harness made by fordogtrainers.com. The length covers her well from her neck to her tail. The hood covers her head well. It snaps securely under her neck with two options for snugness. The velcro strap which goes under her belly secures well and does not interfere with HER urinating. I feed the end of her leash through the access hole in the top of the raincoat and clip it onto the "D" ring of her harness. Even though she is a lab, at 12 1/2 years old she isn't liking the rainy weather much especially when it's raw outside. The raincoat packs up quite nicely in a small vinyl pouch. As a photojournalist, I believe a picture is worth a thousand words, so I've included a few. It is a great product for the money.

Sizing clothes dog clothes is alway so hard, but after reading a million reviews I got it right! So, I'll pay it forward and give you my doggie details. I bought a medium for my elderly, stocky, but not fat, 20 lb pug. He is 15" long from base of neck to his end. The coat neck has two sets of good quality snaps and when I used the larger setting it was perfect for my guy. The belly band was a long strip of Velcro and it was more than enough to get around his belly and it didn't cover his man parts at all. There is a hole with a little flap that covers it in the back for a leash to attach. Probably best for a collar leash but I made it work for my guy's harness. It just shifts the coat back a bit making it tighter around the neck, but I had a little room to spare. I've attached two pictures - one with and without the harness loops going through. Hope the cost works for your furry friend!

For the price, this rain coat is great. It stays on and the fit is adjustable. I got the XL for my 55lb Boxer mix and it fit fine. The girth is really adjustable with a wide velcro band, so you want to buy according to your dog's body length so you can shield them from the rain. Love the ducky pattern! One thing I'm worried about is washing it. It's really thin plastic so I'm not sure if it can hold up to a washer machine. Will probably have to hand wash and lay out to dry.

I had all sorts of trepidation, but my rescue Chihuahua would never go out in the rain...he waited 20 hours one time. This is comfortable for him; he does not shake it off nor does he mind wearing it. And it keeps him dry. We are all happy now here. Try it; you'll be pleasantly surprised.

I bought this product (in XL) for my 90Lbs Bullmastiff/Pit Bull mix. It works well for keeping the rain off, and it doesn't interfere with her going to the bathroom. The only issues I had with it was the velcro strap that goes along the stomach of my dog just barely touched and I can tell it is tight on her. So if you have a hefty dog this may not work for you. Also, the hood seems to almost never stay on so my dogs head always ends up wet by the time we come inside. For the most part, though, it keeps her dry and I think she likes it. I would recommend this to anyone who has a dog that hates the rain. Just be aware that if you have a dog with a bigger stomach it may not fit them. Awesome buy!!!! We have tried on several raincoats at the store for our girl and none of them fit well and not to mention are very pricey. This coat was light weight, and is true to its size! We bought the xl and it fit our 60# pit/Mastiff like it was made for her!!Con: I with the hood was a smidge deeper so it would stay on better but it really only falls back when she tips her head back! Can't beat it for the price!

Very cute pattern and Pippin is overjoyed to be told that he's a Extra Large dog now.I purchased this raincoat for Pip because it's already rained for 3 days and the forecasts says another 8-9 days of rain is in the works. Obviously we can't put off our walks for that long. After looking over a lot of Amazon offerings I picked this raincoat because of the reviews and price (and the pattern). I feel like I got my money's worth.What you receive is a dog rain coat made of raincoat-type plastic. I didn't notice any smell (like you can get with a new shower curtain) and I liked that the raincoat came in it's own small carrier. The raincoat material is very much like what my own raincoat is made out of, only thinner. Not cheap thin, just lightweight. (Personally my LLBean raincoat is thick and hot, so I'm eyeing Pippin's with envy)What you get is a raincoat with a hood and an opening on the back so you can use a leash hook. The hood is really large but I think it has to be to accommodate all the different dog shapes that are out there. It's easy to get the dog into the jacket if he'll agree. You simply lay it on his back and then velcro the belly band, and snap the snaps on the front piece that goes across your pup's chest. In Pippin's case I fold a little bit of the hood under so that it doesn't cover his eyes. The hood doesn't stay in place that well. But better to only have to dry his head and feet, than all of him.SIZINGI was a little worried about picking a size but after receiving the raincoat I could see that it was actually as easy as it seems.There are two basic measurements that will help you out. The first is the circumference of the mid-section. The second is your dog's length. In my opinion it's the length that's the more important number because a too short raincoat will leave the hind end wet. You measure the length from the base of the neck to the tail end. Once you know that you can pick a size. All that's left is to confirm that the belly band will work, and pick a pattern.There's some variability in the belly measurement because of the velcro that used as a closure.THOUGHTSI think I've gotten my monies worth. The raincoat is cute and sturdy. The material isn't oppressively heavy so there's less for one's dog to object to. The only downside for me is that the hood doesn't fit perfectly and won't always stay put. I'm not sure how you could remedy this though without adding something that would annoy most dogs.Recommend.

Ordered a S for my 10lbs miniature pinscher. Fit him perfectly. Light material and super easy to put on the dog.

el producto es muy funcional yo ya lo probé ya llovió y no se mojó mi perro para nada solamente de abajo pero es más fácil secar lo de abajo que todo el perro!! Por El precio no esperen un Poncho súper grueso porque no lo es, si quieren algo más grueso compren algo más caro! A mí me gustó para mi cumple su función! mi perro mide 68 cm a la cruz es muy grande, pesa 40 kg y de largo Le quedó un Poncho 2XL

Mi perro es un husky de 30 kilos y le quedó excelente sólo se mueve un poquito de lado con la caminata pero solamente reajustandolo regresa a su lugar sin problema! Si Les recomiendo midan muy bien el largo y el pecho por detrás de las patas delanteras del perro antes de pedirlo y el cuello para que no les quede grande yo tuve que comprar otro porque el que le compre primero le quedó muy grande y le había comprado 2XL y termine comprándole el XL, el otro también me lo quede porque tengo otro husky más grande que él y esé si le quedó bien a él, el otro husky pesa 40 kilos y le quedó perfecto el 2XL

i bought this for my 55 lb german shepherd in size xxl. for the most part it fits well length wise but the snaps that go around the neck are not tight enough so it causes it to slip back while shes wearing it and results in her getting wet during walks almost to the top of her shoulders. it could also probably benefit from a second velcro strap under the body. the one around the chest serves its purpose but i find as she walks, the back side tends to slip over to one side so i had to constantly adjust it so she didnt get too wet. if there was one near the end it would help. the hood is also useless, but really cute to put on for pictures. with all that being said, it did keep her dry on the parts it covered

excelente producto, solo un par de cosas mi perro es un Maltes, pedi una talla M y le quedo enorme como el doble de su tamaño, devolví y pedi un S y era pues como para chihuhua, asi que volvi a devolver y pues resignado pedi otra vez el M , pensaba mandarlo a ajustar, pero mi sorpresa fue que este segundo M llego pues perfecto le queda que ni pintado, supongo el primero que mandaron era G y se equivocaron al etiquetarlo solo chequen eso , por lo de mas excelente producto, solo cabe mencionar que la panza queda desprotegida y en el caso de mi perro es de donde mas se moja cuando sale a hacer del baño y esta lloviendo

I purchased this raincoat for my 10 lbs Yorkshire Terrier. Normally he wears size Small but after consulting the size chart, I thought X-Small sounded right and it was a perfect fit. I love that this packs into a pouch and that the pouch can be attached to a belt loop, leash, whatever.The material is thin and I think it will likely need to be treated gently to avoid any ripping. The poncho closes around the dog's middle with Velcro and at the neck with diaper snaps. The snaps are stiff since it's new so I'm going to open them carefully for awhile to avoid ripping the poncho where the snaps are inserted.This isn't a dog toy so your dog shouldn't have the opportunity to wreck it. Like I mentioned, the material is thin and I don't think it will hold up to rough treatment but if you are careful I don't see it being a problem.I like that not only does it have a hole for the harness loop but there is a little flap that goes over the hole after you've attached the leash so there's no exposed area. This fits my dog right down to his tail so his entire body is covered. I doubt it will keep him dry in a monsoon but it will certainly help on a normal rainy day.The price was what I consider cheap and that factored into my purchase. He has another, thicker, raincoat but I actually found this one easier to put on and it's so lightweight and compact with the little pouch that it will make it a definite go-to when going anywhere with him.I'd definitely recommend it to others. Make sure you measure/weigh your dog and check it against the size chart to get a proper fit.

It is so hard to find a raincoat for my 80+lb Goldendoodle in stores as most clothing is for smaller dogs. Happy to find this cute pattern raincoat. It is very lightweight and it suits my purpose. If it is pouring rain, I wouldn't recommend to wear this out as it may soak through. But for a light drizzle day, it is perfect and it is very compact. I like to bring this along on our walk when it is overcast and it may rain. Also wish there is a little velcro attachment at his tail part to keep the raincoat in place so when it is windy, the raincoat won't be blown over and wet his butt.

Worked as expected. I should have got a larger size as even though this says for large dogs you are not likely to get it on anything large, more like a mid size. I have a Portie and I can barely get the velcro together to close it under his belly. Dog hates the 'hoodie' part so I dont put that on but the rest works fine and easy/quick to get it on the dog. It fastens under the neck/chest and also under his belly. So far he has not pulled it off. Dog is able to do his business without any hindrance.

I love the design and the packing of this product. The material feels light weight and good quality. Unfortunately, it's too big. I have a terrier mix that usually fits a medium but when we put it on him it could fit two of him. If you're planning to purchase PLEASE take the proper measurements and follow the size chart provided (don't go by the breed description like I did). Great product though!

I love these coats, both my boys weigh about 75 lbs one is a Shepherd /Husky mix and the other a Boxer/ Ridgeback mix and the coats fit. I love how light weight they are it helps keep mosquito off their backs, both dogs wear them rain or shine. We live on the water and there are a lot of bugs. The coats are easy to put on and stay on even when playing. The designs are cute and material is tough.

Compre el producto para un perro raza Chihuahua, le quedo muy bien en cuanto a dimensiones y cobertura del cuerpo del perro, lo protege en el caso de lloviznas leves para dar su paseo, ya que para el caso de tormentas el perro termina completamente empapado porque en la parte inferior del cuerpo el perro esta desprotegido, con esta prenda llaman mucho la atención, el producto es de buenos materiales, ligero, fácil de transportar.

Absolutely affordable rain poncho for dogs. Very happy to have the ability to purchase a 3xl but wish there was a 4xl. We have a tall Alaskan malamute female, very lean at 95 lbs and the 3xl is a snug fit due to the breeds deep chest. Keeps the rain off great, though the belly still gets very wet from kick up, so we wish there was more material that wrapped to the underside. Other than that, great product. It does what a dog poncho is expected to do. The yellow is nice, it grabs people’s attention so it’s a bit of a safety feature as well. I would purchase this again when ours needs replacement.

This raincoat is amazing. Good quality for a great price. I bought the XL for my dog who is about 70 some odd pounds but with his barrel chest, the extra room was needed. It fit perfectly. As you can see, the jacket covers all the way to the beginning of his tail which is what I was hoping for. My dog is double coated so rain can get caught underneath the first coat and cause moisture build up which gets itchy and then creates hot spots if not dried properly. I highly recommend this product for anyone looking to keep the rain off their dogs back while walking!! My dog even loves it because he hates getting wet... It's a win-win.
