The best bookshelves I've used in years.
I have to say, the instructions included for these bookshelves are a little confusing, but if you're patient and can make sense of the hole placements on the unit itself, it will make sense after playing around with the pieces a little bit. Probably a good idea to dump them into some kind of container so you don't lose any before assembling. However, I can definitely say the benefits of these shelves are definitely worth the price and hassle of assembly. They are super lightweight, and can be moved around easily, and don't take up as much vertical space as many plywood / particle board bookshelves around the same price.Do be careful, though, as if you don't secure the screws well enough, it can be wobbly, and you should *ALWAYS* fully unload the shelves before moving to prevent any warping. They are made of sturdy and rigid aluminum, but it's still not invincible. The shelves snap nicely into place and are easy to remove if need be, and hold a surprising amount of weight without warping. One small detail to note about these shelves is that each one holds books up to about 12 inches tall. If you have oversize ones, they'll unfortunately probably have to go up top. But it is nice if you'd like to hang additional things above the shelves, and it's also great to be able to see book covers from the sides. The grid mesh on the sides is also useful, as you can use it for hanging other small things, like decorations or keychains, or whatever you want. It's a very open and breezy-looking design that makes the bookshelves look much less big and imposing like they're taking up the whole room, and more like something you can casually walk by and pick something off of if you want to instead of reaching into some cavernous dusty hole filled with cobwebs. It's provided a refreshing new look with my living space, and I wound up ordering 4 of them, with maybe future plans for even more. Well worth the money.

Great product for a low price!!
I love this bookshelf!! I searched high & low for a quality unit at a lower price. I was sick of buying “cheap” units from Target and other stores, just to have them fall apart after a single move. This unit, however, is much higher quality than particle board, and it can be disassembled if you’re ever moving. This shelving unit is perfect for our books. It was easy to assemble and is pretty strong, considering how light-weight it is. I love the material (light-weight metal.) One thing I’ve noticed is that you definitely cannot move it once you’ve loaded it up with books, so make sure you pick the perfect spot lol. Right now we’re using this in our basement, but I would definitely consider purchasing more for other areas of the house. I put the heaviest books on the bottom shelf, and it’s not bowing at all. I would still be cautious of how much weight you put on it, but overall I’m impressed. Good quality and looks great! Thank you :)

Easy to assemble as long as you match frame pieces correctly.
I found another review on here (I advise you to search for it!) That had typed out step by step instructions. I followed thise instead if the piece if paper that comes in the box. I had no problems putting it together. As long as you match the correct top piece to the correct bottom piece, the rest is a breeze. 6 holes go in the back, 4 in the front. Make sure you get left and right sides correct. As long as you tighten bolts very well it's nice and sturdy. I have a printer sitting on the middle shelf right now and it's holding just fine. I put other heavier things below it just to secure the weight and then just small containers, baskets, boxes with paint and other art supplies on top shelves. Probably not worth 60+ bucks but hopefully that just means it will last several years. I had a hard time finding anything cheaper online that was this tall and not completely cheap quality wood or other material, so I'm satisfied for the options that were available. And I was able to get this delivered next day. Works great for what I needed. Fits well in a small space like an office nook.

Easy to assemble, hard on your thumbs
After a mediocre attempt at making my own book shelves i decided to try my luck with these metal ones, i like them but they feel more fragile than they look. For starters, be careful when assembling these as it is VERY easy to overtighten the screws and deform the metal slightly, if you don't do it TOO much like i did then you'll be okay but i could imagine it'd be super easy to destroy the assembly by mistake. The shelves themselves don't LOOK like they'd be durable since they just attach onto the pipes, but they're much sturdier than you'd think. These aren't going to come off and drop your books unless someone is actively pushing on it to remove them. That said, there's a thin gap between the shelves and the bars on the side so any books that are very thin will fall RIGHT through, if you can help it i would either use larger books, or hardbacks for the end pieces. A comic would fall RIGHT through and could easily get damaged as could paperbacks that aren't very good at maintaining their shape, especially the ones made with really cheap paper. The back is in a similar position so again, careful with anything thin or fragileI'm not sure how durable these shelves actually are, any time i touch them or move past them i wouldn't say they're wobbly, but they aren't rigid in the same way shelves made of wood secured by screws and wood glue would be. I'm also concerned about whether or not they'd survive the heavier books, i dunno how safe i'd feel moving the shelves with a load on them because these shelves don't look like they were made to take a beating. They'll probably be fine if you treat them with care but i doubt they'd survive the weight of anything heavy like bowling balls or guns.Good value for the money, but treat them with care.
