Good knife- but not “professional”
This sucker is heavy duty.Soo.. here’s the deal. I don’t know if this company is an actual “kitchen knife” builder. The knife is think, heavy duty and works, but it feels like it’s a slab of sharp metal with a handle.I’ve seen and used other actual knives from knife companies and they’re more ergonomically built, the metal is tampered to be used a knife, and it feels like a knife. This is a knife, and it works great! But it’s something I think an armature knife maker has made.Sharpness! 100% but buy a stone and make sure you Kern how to sharpen the blade. It’s way too thick to sharpen on traditional home knife sharpening tools. Metal is THICK. But cuts like butter.

Heavy full-handed workhorse
For the price I wasn't expecting much, but dang! This thing was well made and HEAVY. I bought it to do veggies thinking it wouldn't handly meat or bone.... nope. I was wrong. This thing is awesome. The edge was a bit wonky when it came to me but nothing that wasn't immediately fixed with a honing blade so obviously nothing too bad, just got nocked about in shipping. But yeah, I only gave it 4/5 for ergonomics because its heavy, and weighted to the front, and well sucks ergonomically..... but i don't want an ergonomic knife. I want a heavy bastard thats going to do the work. This knife is that knife. Absolutely love it.

Great knife/cleaver
This thing is ridiculous, it's also almost perfect. The blade comes ridiculously sharp, which is great, what's better is that it has yet to dull after quite a bit of use.A word of caution though, if you're used to standard kitchen knives like most people are, which vacillate between being "sharp enough" and "functionally dull"... Handle this blade with caution. The weight of this butcher-knife-stylized-cleaver half drives it through objects you're slicing without much effort from you. This means that any force you apply exponentially increases the work the knife does. The second night I was using it, my youngest bumped into me in the middle of cutting up some steak with this thing, and as a result I hit the tip of my finger with it. While my nail deviated the edge and saved the tip of my finger, it also cut that while segment of my nail off. I was barely driving the blade with my hand, so seriously, be careful. As far as other things like how this product works as a cleaver... It's amazing. You can severe joints and work though reasonable bone with no problem. Cartilage and dense soft tissue bundles are a joke. I have not tried this on a large animal joint yet, but I'm pretty sure I could butcher most of a pig or deer with this alone. Thus far, this is well worth what we paid for it.

Well Made
As a Asian, I am used to using this kind of knife. The knife was well made. Solid metal, and the blade is pretty sharp too. I’ve used it for couple of days. I can literally use it cut/chop anything. It may be kind of heavy to some people, but not a issue to me. And, it comes with a nice case/cover too. Don’t think it’s useful, but it comes with it, can’t complain that. LoL.

It's an Ok blade.
I don't believe this is a Damascus blade has no Damascus patterns on it whatsoever. Quite heavy which is great for chefs like me before someone like my woman she says it's a little heavy. Overall average blade should be cheaper in price. Also not as sharp as advertised I'm not even sure if it's as advertised.

Not sharp at all actually a really dull blade
I got the knife today and it appears to be well made for the price. My issue is that the blade is dull as in not sharp in the least bit. I can literally run my fingers down the blade and it looks like it was never sharpened. I do not recommend this knife if you are wanting a sharp blade. Maybe I got the one that got thru without being sharpened but I am disappointed in this knife because I wanted a nice knife to cut meat but this appears not to be what I am looking for. Do not purchase if you want a sharp heavy meat knife. Probably good for a chopper.

Wow
Wow this thing is heavy and cuts well! I mainly use this to open up my fresh coconuts and it does it with ease!

Not hardened properly. Butcher knife lookalike.
At first encounter with backbone that needed chopping the knife got nicks and dents at its edge. Be ready to re-hone its edge and sharpen it often unless your intention is to use to just slice meat, tomatoes and onions :) 2 stars for its sheave and hefty weight. Would be less otherwise.
