Marjolein Bastin 2020 Deluxe Wall Calendar: Nature's Inspiration

To clarify: 5 stars for Marjolein Bastin's artwork featured in this calendar, but 2 stars for its production. I continue to love Marjolein Bastin's work and have purchased her calendars for many years. However, the production quality continues to slip since Andrews McMeel Publishing took over from Lang Holdings Inc. The paper quality is noticeably inferior compared to Lang's linen-embossed paper, and it no longer includes the brass hanging grommet, which prevents the calendar from tearing. Mine always tears around September or October despite how careful I am. And this year, the calendar does not include any of the sweet secondary paintings found in the past. With so many corners being cut, it's time for me to switch back to Lang.

Marjolein Bastin is my all time favorite artist. I have collected her calendars for years. I like that this calendar has illustrations that fill the page from side to side with a top and bottom color banner. The dates/numbers are printed in a bold font and larger text size. The holidays are printed in lighter ink and in a smaller size. The paper is of good quality. I also appreciate that there is a mini calendar of the preceding and following month printed on each page. There is about 1" square of room for each day to jot appointments. The calendar ends in December of 2020.

This is a large, high quality printed calendar. It is so beautiful with the drawings of Majolein Bastin, whose work I admire so much. It comes in a large, thick envelope with pictures on it. The monthly pictures are of a quality that I would frame. Also, it comes with a free print to frame. I bought it a little late in the year and got it cheaper but, it is well worth the original price.

I've had one of Bastin's wall calendars since the 1st year they were available. It's like having a work of art on my wall! There is enough space for me to enter important information on the days and I also like the "linen" type finish of the paper. All in all it's something I treat myself to each year and I get to enjoy this wonderful artist's beautiful work all year long.

Love Marjolein Basitin calendars. Her artwork is beyond anyone else. I would never buy another calendar , but hers. The pictures are awesome and she gives you plenty of space to write down all your doctors appointments,etc. in the space provided. I love her calendars and would not buy anyone else’s. She is the best !

I have been buying Marjolein calendars for years. I adore her art and talent. This 2020 is all about lovely birds! It's a nice large organizing calender too.

This calendar has a beautiful picture on the front but when you open it the pictures aren't as colorful or good quality. Also its first page has an outdated calander. It has grid calendars from Sept 2019-Dec 2019. I'm about to give up ordering on Amazon. I've had to return too many things.

Me encantó la manera en que venía protegido (con una especie de sobre con la misma ilustración de la portada), y la ilustración de regalo impecable, no parece una impresión sino un original. El calendario funciona bastante bien sobre todo si tienes que hacer alguna pequeña anotación, tiene suficiente espacio y cada ilustración es preciosa.

Such a pleasure to have this calendar in the kitchen so I can enjoy it daily. For the last four years the calendars have required trimming to fit in the wooden wall calendar holder. Prior to this the calendars fit well as purchased. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this product.
